Withdrawing from Classes

After the first three days of the term, to withdraw from one or all of your classes, you must meet with a Career Counselor in the Office of Student Affairs and complete a Withdrawal Form. Instructors may initiate course withdrawals when the attendance policy has been exceeded. Withdrawing before Midterm: If you withdraw prior to midterm, you will receive a “W” for the class. This simply means that you withdrew from your class(es). The “W” does not count in your GPA. Withdrawing after Midterm: If you withdraw after midterm, you will receive either a “WP” or “WF” for the class. A “WP” means you are passing the class on the day you withdraw. The “WP” does not count in your GPA. A “WF” means that you are failing the class on the day you withdraw. A “WF” does count in your GPA and is the same as receiving an “F” for the class. Please remember that this information pertains to academics and not financial aid.
